p13 Punchline 13, has just released “Cut The Rope“, a dynamite album of power packed pop songs with the angst & urgency of punk. Out of Montreal, Canada, they deliver well crafted and executed songs, with way cool changes and transitions. The chorus and bridges contain wonderful hooks, and the guitar riffs and solos rock.  The songs are cool, offering great melodies, and nice harmonies. With pop melodies over punk instrumentation, Punchline 13 deliver a dynamite punk-pop sound with sweet arrangements. There p131are wonderful effects, sounds of a radio tuning in on ‘First Cut‘, ‘Second Cut: Let’s Take A Walk‘, and ‘Final Cut: Stars Are Aligned‘. I swear I heard ukulele, and I am impressed by Sylvain Campeau‘s  vocal tracks. A great album with wonderfully powerful and innovative songs. An incredibly good time. Stand out tracks include ‘Home‘, ‘Set It Up‘, ‘What Will You Do?’, and ‘Into The Dark‘. Definitely an early contender to make the I Can’t Believe My Earz Indie Album of the Year 2015 list. Yep, it’s that good!!!

EURASIANEYES-Call Your God

eeyesBritish Progressive-Rock duo, Eurasianeyes are putting the finishing touches on their soon to be released album. The first single, “Call Your God“, was forwarded to me, and with luck, I actually received it. The track is up tempo, filled with exciting synthesizers, a wonderfully powerful drum track and some incredible guitar from Peter Steer, of Tenek fame. The haunting ambiance, and contagious melody  reminds me of Ultravox. Very cool. Written and produced by Eurasianeyes themselves, being Paul Russell & Mel Bell, the song is all the evidence I need to see that original progressive rock lives on.

J&TPFrom Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the soul, rock, R & B, band, Jerome & The Psychics released their second full length album, ‘Money is Violence‘ in December 2014. Now living in Bloominton, Indiana, their influences include The Byrds, The Yardbirds, Pretty Things, Small Faces, and Otis Redding. With great melodies, horns, and organ, Jerome & The Psychics have delivered a wonderful collection of songs that can best be described as Brazilian garage rock. Worth several listens.

Brazilian Money

BM1When Montreal meets Edmonton, it gets weird. Real weird. And so, we have Brazilian Money.  The Canadian band released the self titled album containing tracks emanating from their twisted minds, and taken off of their previous albums.  A fabulous collection of songs that grows on you, and grows on you, until it is simply assimilated into your being. What an amazing time! I confess that I have fallen victim. I like Brazilian Money! Listen for yourself, and check out all of their releases here:  http://brazilianmoney.bandcamp.com/album/brazilian-money
